Nossaman News Release

Phoenix and Tucson, AZ – We are pleased to announce Jordan Leavitt and Ashley Mahoney have joined our Eminent Domain & Valuation Group in our Phoenix and Tucson offices. Jordan will serve as a partner and Ashley as an associate. They join from Jennings Strouss & Salmon.

Jordan’s practice focuses on representing governmental entities in condemnation proceedings related to light rail, road widening and electrical transmission projects. He earned his J.D. from Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law, Arizona State University and his B.S. from Brigham Young University.

Ashley’s practice focuses on complex commercial litigation, including class actions, malpractice, complex business matters and eminent domain. She graduated from Arizona State University with a B.A. in Interdisciplinary Studies. She attended Arizona State University, Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law where she earned her J.D., cum laude.

“We are excited Jordan and Ashley are joining the Firm,” said Brad Kuhn, chair of our Eminent Domain & Valuation Group. “Their experience in, and knowledge of, the eminent domain landscape throughout the western U.S. enables them to add immediate value for our clients and strengthens our Arizona offices.”

We opened two Arizona offices in Phoenix and Tucson earlier in February with the addition of Christopher Kramer. Chris has more than 36 years of experience in eminent domain and land use matters and before entering private practice, served as an Assistant Attorney General in the Arizona Attorney General’s office where he worked as eminent domain litigation and project counsel on a number of high profile projects and as a municipal court judge in the Phoenix metropolitan area.

Our Eminent Domain & Valuation Group has handled some of the largest cases in the western U.S., as well as some of the highest-profile public works projects that have shaped infrastructure in the region. The group’s past successes inform and motivate our lawyers as they work closely with longstanding and newer clients. Nossaman’s decades of expertise allows our attorneys to work efficiently on straightforward “bread-and-butter” cases and to also help us find innovative solutions in more novel “avocado toast” cases. The group has been recognized for its accomplishments by both Chambers and Partners and The Legal 500.

Commenting on his move, Jordan exclaimed, “I look forward to helping the Firm grow its practice in Arizona and working with the impressive group of attorneys across all of Nossaman’s offices.” Ashley added, “I am excited to join Nossaman and help our clients meet their business needs in the Arizona market.”
