Chris Flaherty, Nossaman’s Chief Business Development Officer, was quoted in the article, "For Midsize Firms, the Best Response to Most RFPs Is No Response at All."

The article notes that companies often send RFPs to multiple firms for the purpose of gaining competitive pricing information to use as leverage to negotiate lower rates with their existing outside counsel. The author explains that while many in Big Law feel obligated to answer every RFP that comes their way, or else face the negative optics of letting go of a potential client engagement, the economics are different for mid-size firms.

Explaining Nossaman’s approach, Chris shared that the firm's evaluation, completed before committing to preparing a response, helps it to focus on the best opportunities and be more strategic when asking attorneys to invest hours.
