Overview

Chris Flaherty leads the firm’s Business Development Department which is responsible for client expansion, new business pursuits, competitive intelligence, client satisfaction initiatives, media relations as well as traditional and online visibility.

He works closely with Firm management, Practice Group and Client Team Leaders, attorneys, and public policy advisors on strategic planning, business development, and marketing initiatives.  Chris also manages aspects of the firm’s practice operations function related to client profitability, matter pricing, and practice economics.

Chris has more than 25 years of business development, marketing, and professional development experience at professional services firms, including software systems consulting, accounting, and legal. Prior to joining Nossaman, Chris served as Director of Business Development at an AmLaw 20 firm and as Chief Business Development Officer at an AmLaw 200 firm.

Beyond the Law

When he's not focused on the business of the law firm, Chris enjoys staying active in the community and spending meaningful time with the people and animals he cares about. Together with his wife, he volunteers at his local community animal shelter, where he contributes to animal care and adoption support. He’s also an avid traveler who enjoys discovering new destinations and cultures. Above all, Chris values time spent with friends and family, which keeps him grounded and inspired.
