Overview
Alex Chuang represents public pension plan investors in California, nationally and internationally in connection with public market and private market investments.
Previously, Alex worked for a San Diego law firm where he represented private healthcare and technology companies in merger and acquisition deals in excess of $200 million. He drafted and structured stock and asset purchase agreements, closing checklists, schedules and other ancillary M&A documents. He also prepared general corporate governance documents including promissory notes, written consents, guaranties, confidentiality agreements, employment agreements, redemption agreements, loan agreements and participation agreements. Alex counseled clients in risk assessment, rights and obligations relating to entity disclosures and restructuring instruments.
During law school, Alex clerked with the Institutional Limited Partners Association (ILPA) in Washington, D.C. ILPA is the largest private equity limited partners trade association representing 500 institutional investors and more than $2 trillion in private equity investments.
