Nossaman Successfully Litigates Breach of Contract Suit for Ag Land Trust

Nossaman represented Ag Land Trust, an entity dedicated to preserving agricultural land in Monterey County, in suing a developer for breach of a contract to deed a 200 acre mitigation parcel to Ag Land. We simultaneously pursued a quiet title action against Rabobank to remove its $48 million deed of trust on the parcel. After achieving the removal of the lien, Nossaman and Monterey counsel tried the case against the developer to a successful verdict. The client obtained fee title to the property, worth $11.7 million.
