On January 26-27, 2022, Rebecca Hays Barho participated as a speaker for two sessions during EUCI's virtual event, "Environmental Compliance & Permitting for Utilities."

During the first session, "Construction Permits," Rebecca provided the audience with a brief overview of the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and the Endangered Species Act (ESA). She discussed the effect NEPA can have on project timelines and what to consider when pursuing authorization for construction on federal lands. For the second session, "Operational Permits," Rebecca reviewed requirements for industrial stormwater permits, wastewater permits and air permits. Attendees learned how to identify what permits may be necessary for their projects and how to plan a compliance approach early on.

EUCI is an accredited corporation that designs focused conferences and training courses for practicing professionals in the energy field as well as other industries.
