Bernadette Duran-Brown Discusses Legal Career, Mentoring Women Lawyers

Bernadette Duran-Brown was featured in the Vault article, “Vault Rankings in Action: The Best Law Firms for Women.” The article contains perspectives on experiences in the field from female attorneys at law firms that Vault has recognized as “some of the top-ranked firms.”

Via a video interview, Bernadette shared her personal experience as a woman in the legal industry and challenges she faced early on—and how receiving mentorship at Nossaman and remaining “persistent and stubborn" has helped her succeed. She also discussed how she now pays it forward by mentoring women entering the legal field and encouraging them to advocate for themselves.

Nossaman was recently recognized on Vault’s “Top 150 Under 150,” a list that highlights leading small and midsize law firms with 150 lawyers or fewer. Vault created the list to “recognize outstanding small and midsize law firms that deliver big results.” Nossaman was also recently ranked as a “Best Midsize Law Firm For Diversity” by Vault.
