Karla MacCary and Brad Kuhn were recognized as "2021 Visionaries" by the Los Angeles Times (Times) in its “Commercial Real Estate: Trends. Updates. Visionaries” supplement. The supplement highlighted professionals working in the commercial real estate space whose “vision has propelled their companies into the future and influenced the trajectory of the industry.”

Karla, who is Co-Chair of Nossaman’s Real Estate Group, was lauded for her representation of “the Port of Long Beach in the divestiture by a major tenant due to an order by the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States.” The Times also highlighted her “more than 25 years of experience in real estate transactional and financing matters” and “representation of investors and developers in the acquisition and disposition of such projects as office buildings, hotels, condominiums, industrial properties, retail centers, mitigation properties, multi-family and undeveloped land.”

The supplement praised Brad—who serves as the Chair of the Firm’s Eminent Domain & Valuation Group—for counseling on “developments valued at more than $25 billion” and his focus on the “transportation, energy, water, land use development and telecommunications sectors.” Brad is currently serving as the lead attorney for San Diego Association of Governments (SANDAG) with property acquisitions for the Mid-Coast Corridor Transit Project, a $2 billion, 11-mile trolley line extension from downtown San Diego to University City.
