Overview
Emi Lemberg's practice focuses on the Endangered Species Act (ESA), the Clean Water Act (CWA) and the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA). Her work includes environmental permitting compliance and litigation matters.
During law school, Emi was a Senior Symposium Editor for the UC Davis Law Review, organizing a symposium on the environmental and water usage issues facing terminal lakes. She was also an intern at the California State Water Resources Control Board Office of Enforcement and a member of the UC Davis Aoki Water Justice Clinic.

Endangered Species Act. Assisting clients with ESA matters, including: compliance with ESA regulations for renewable energy projects; preparing permitting opinions and transactional support in connection with federal, state and local natural resources and environmental issues; comment letters on species listings; litigation over habitat conservation plans and the adequacy of biological opinions.
Public Meetings. Advise mutual water company clients regarding compliance with public meeting requirements.
Due Diligence. Advise companies on permitting and regulatory requirements arising in corporate transactions.
Litigation. Part of team defending real party in interest in CEQA challenge to renewable energy project.
