Nathan Guttman

Nathan Guttman brings extensive trial and appellate experience to Nossaman. He has personally obtained numerous favorable court and jury verdicts and presented dozens of appellate oral arguments, resulting in published victories in the California Court of Appeal, the California Supreme Court and the Ninth Circuit. These same skills support an adept motion practice: Nathan has briefed and argued countless dispositive motions to achieve early wins for his clients. Nathan’s considerable courtroom experience also informs his approach to discovery – particularly, his incisive deposition questioning.

Experience

• Argued and won four Ninth Circuit cases in a nine-month period, and two California Supreme Court cases in a six-month period.
• Drafted more than a hundred appellate briefs in the California Court of Appeal, California Supreme Court and Ninth Circuit.
• Independently briefed, argued and won summary judgment motion for defense in wrongful death case against police officer.
