Phyillis Macharia advises clients throughout the condemnation process, including precondemnation planning and negotiations, acquisition strategy, litigation and trial preparation. She conducts comprehensive legal research by reviewing case law, statutes and treatises to support practice group litigation strategies and client counseling.

In addition to eminent domain, Phyillis’ practice includes health, education and public agency law. Her experience includes drafting and reviewing client policies, such as Employee Handbooks, UCPs, Corporate Compliance Manuals, Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) Compliance and Title IX to ensure compliance with the evolving legal landscape of healthcare systems and public agencies. Moreover, Phyillis drafts, reviews and analyzes solicitations, bids, public contracts and amendments for a broad array of medical, public works and charter petition matters.
