Overview

Sabrina Pickett advises candidates, political action committees and corporations on compliance with federal, state and local campaign finance laws, including the Political Reform Act and the Federal Election Campaign Act. She counsels lobbyists and their employers on state and local lobbying and ethics requirements.

Sabrina also works closely with nonprofit organizations on corporate formation and governance matters, IRS compliance related to political activity, and preparation of Form 990 filings, as well as state and federal tax-exemption applications. In addition, she advises corporations on complex conflicts of interest under the Levine Act in connection with municipal and local agency proceedings.

She serves as counsel to ballot measure committees, drafting and reviewing required filings and preparing petition materials. Her experience further includes drafting contracts and leases, conducting research in support of lobbying initiatives, reviewing federal, state and local campaign and lobbying reports, and representing clients in California election litigation matters.
