Selling, Financing and Transforming a Production Studio

In the final days of 2017, we represented Gaw Capital in the acquisition of property in the City of Los Angeles used as a production studio. There was some notoriety to the site because the studio had been used for years as the studio for Playboy Enterprises. A more family-friendly company wanted to lease the property for a production studio, and Gaw Capital was prepared to take the site into its new era. In late 2019, we represented Gaw Capital when they put commercial mortgage-backed security financing on the property from CIT Bank, N.A.
