On October 18, 2024, Brendan Macaulay participated in “From the Horse’s Mouth: Appraiser as Expert in Litigation” during the Appraisal Institute’s Northern California Chapter 2024 Annual Fall Conference: Real Estate and Appraisal Symposium. This panel discussed demystifying the litigation process (appraisers) and the appraisal process (attorneys), appraisal (USPAP) requirements for competency and credibility, maintaining independence when working with an advocate client, unique considerations when working with appraisal professionals v. experts in other disciplines and the dos and don’ts of testifying.

The 2024 Annual Fall Conference: Real Estate and Appraisal Symposium is the real estate appraisal profession’s longest-running and highest-rated one-day continuing education and networking event on the West Coast. This conference features the real estate profession’s “most in-the-know” presenters.
