The United States faces challenges on multiple fronts while planning for the future of transportation in an era of climate change, sea level rise and rapid changes in technology. These changes are occurring against a backdrop of tremendous societal change and demands for social justice. Patrick discussed factors that policy makers and transportation planners should consider in making sound resiliency decisions to keep our transportation assets safe, relevant and nimble
