Texas Lawyer

Brooke Wahlberg, a Partner in Nossaman’s Environment & Land Use Group, was recognized by the Texas Lawyer, an ALM publication, in its 2019 Professional Excellence awards supplement.  The awards “recognize lawyers who have made their mark on the legal profession in the Lone Star State and beyond.”  Brooke was recognized in the “On The Rise” category, which honored 25 young Texas lawyers whose legal work has had a significant impact in their respective practices.
In the profile Texas Lawyer ran on Brooke, the publication notes she “focuses her practice on various areas of environmental law, including the Endangered Species Act, the Migratory Bird Treaty Act, the Bald and Golden Eagle Protection Act, the Clean Water Act and the National Environmental Policy Act.”  The publication lauded her for her work as a leader of the team assisting client Renewable Energy Systems Americas in obtaining an Endangered Species Act incidental take permit for the construction of the ~160-MW Heart of Texas wind energy facility in McCullough County.
