Nossaman Welcomes Two New Partners, Two Associates

ORANGE COUNTY/SAN FRANCISCO (August 6, 2003) - Nossaman Guthner Knox & Elliott LLP today announced four new attorneys, John C. Condas, Kenneth S. Kramer, Sophie-Nicole Froelich and Darren W. Stroud, have joined the firm. The new attorneys have joined the firm's Orange County and San Francisco offices and will practice with the Litigation and Land Use Groups.

"The decision to bring on John, Ken, Sophie and Darren reflects not only our growth in the areas of litigation and land use, but also our dedication to meeting our clients' increasing legal needs," said Firmwide Managing Partner Scott DeVries.

John C. Condas will work in the Orange County office as a partner with the Land Use Group. He was formerly a shareholder with Jackson, DeMarco & Peckenpaugh in Irvine, Calif. While at Jackson his practice focused on land use, environmental, real property, and financial institutions litigation, as well as processing land use entitlements. Mr. Condas received his J.D. from University of Southern California in 1988. He holds an M.A. in Urban Planning, which he earned at University of California, Los Angeles in 1985. He received his A.B. from the University of Chicago in 1983.

Kenneth S. Kramer will work in the Orange County office as a partner with the Land Use Group. Mr. Kramer has extensive experience in acquisitions and sales, leasing, entity formation, financing, telecommunications licensing and environmental issues. Prior to joining Nossaman, Mr. Kramer worked in the Orange County office of Arter & Hadden LLP, where he was of counsel with a practice focusing on real estate matters. He earned his J.D. from the University of Southern California in 1982 and received his B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania in 1979.

Sophie-Nicole Froelich is joining the San Francisco office and will work as an associate in the firm's Litigation Practice Group. Ms. Froelich joins Nossaman from the San Francisco office of Carroll, Burdick & McDonough LLP where she was an associate with a practice focusing on products liability. Ms. Froelich earned her J.D. from New York University School of Law in 1999. She received her B.A., magna cum laude, from Barnard College, Columbia University in 1994.

Darren W. Stroud is joining the Orange County office where he will work as an associate with the Land Use Group. He comes to Nossaman from Jackson, DeMarco & Peckenpaugh, where he was an associate with the Land Use, Environmental and Natural Resources Law Group. Prior to practicing law, Mr. Stroud worked in engineering at South Coast AQMD and Texas Railroad Commission. He holds a J.D. from Chapman University School of Law, which he received in 2000. He earned his B.S. 1989 at the University of Texas at Austin.
