Overview
Cindy Rodriguez has an extensive background in medical staff operations and is well versed in all aspects of physician credentialing and privileging. Her expertise extends to all aspects of medical staff governance, including such issues as interdisciplinary program development, medical staff bylaws review and revision, physician discipline, and Joint Commission survey preparation. She has considerable experience assisting medical staffs in structural re-tooling and reorganization to improve the efficacy of physician evaluation processes and cross-specialty privileging standards. Cindy has dealt with legal issues facing individual physicians and hospital medical staffs of small community hospitals and large, multi-hospital systems.
Prior to working at Nossaman, Cindy worked as a medical staff coordinator at a prominent hospital in San Diego, CA, where she prepared the medical staff for Joint Commission surveys and facilitated uniform cross-specialty privileging standards in Cardiac and Neurological specialties.
Cindy primarily represents medical staffs on issues related to governance, bylaws rules and regulations, credentialing, quality improvement, peer review, fair hearings and mandated reporting to the National Practitioner Data Bank and state licensing boards.
