Overview

Rachael Harrington advises hospital and ambulatory surgical center medical staffs on medical staff governance and operations, including professional reporting statutes, credentialing and privileging, corrective action, fair hearing rights, bylaw and policy review and matters pertaining to emergency department call panels and policies. She provides representation and guidance through peer review investigations and fair hearing proceedings. With a proactive approach to peer review and quality oversight, Rachael helps medical staffs navigate patient safety interests, physician rights, whistleblower retaliation claims and behavioral and clinical related concerns. Rachael also advises on oversight agency investigations and subpoenas resulting from voluntary and required reporting obligations and patient privacy rights in relation to health care operations.

Rachael has a background in and previously advised homeowner associations as general counsel in matters pertaining to homeowner association governance, elections, member disputes and governing document enforcement.
