Changes in the Law – Eminent Domain and Infrastructure Update
On November 4, 2022, Jillian Friess Leivas and Steve Silva presented “Changes in the Law - Eminent Domain and Infrastructure Update” during the 2022 Right of Way Consultants Council’s (ROWCC) Fall Membership Meeting in Las Vegas, NV.
During the session, Jillian and Steve discussed key U.S. cases and legislation, pending and adopted, from the last year that impact the eminent domain and right of way industries. Additionally, they discussed how funding from the infrastructure bill is trickling down to the project level and notable trends that have emerged in the case and statutory law.
The ROWCC is an organization that grew out of a desire for professionals in the right of way consulting industry to exchange ideas and information efficiently and to develop and promote standards for the industry.
