On March 18, 2022, John Erskine participated as a panelist for the session “From Conception to Reality – What it Takes to Build a Housing Unit in California” during the 2022 Pepperdine Law Review Symposium in Malibu, CA.

John and his fellow panelists addressed the criteria needed for building housing units in California and will provide insights into what can be done to create homes faster. The panel also addressed local opposition, cost inhibitions, zoning restrictions and entitlements.

The 49th Annual Pepperdine Law Review Symposium evaluated the barriers in the way of closing the nation’s housing deficit. During this event, esteemed scholars and practitioners from around the United States convened to highlight critical roadblocks and discussed what can be done to remove them to create a faster way home for the nearly half a million people without a home in the United States. We are a proud sponsor of this year’s symposium.
