On January 31, 2022, Fred Dombo and Randy Boyer presented “United States Regulation of Cybersecurity Breaches and Data Protection” during CONSULEGIS’s virtual IT and Data Practice Group meeting.

Fred and Randy provided insight into potential upcoming changes in federal cybersecurity regulations. They discussed which affects are to be anticipated for cybersecurity entities that are deemed “critical Infrastructure,” along with the possible consequences of non-compliance. They then elaborated on the private enforcement of cybersecurity in regards to class action litigation over data breaches and the impact of the CCPA and CPRA on that litigation.
