Nossaman Elevates Bernadette M. Duran-Brown to Partner in Orange County Office
Orange County, CA (May 18, 2015)–Nossaman LLP announced today that Bernadette M. Duran-Brown has been elevated to partnership. Ms. Duran-Brown is a member of Nossaman's Eminent Domain and Litigation Practice Groups and resides in the Firm's Orange County office. Her practice primarily focuses on eminent domain, inverse condemnation, regulatory takings and valuation matters. She also has experience assisting clients with land use, entitlement matters, and landlord/tenant-related disputes.

Ms. Duran-Brown has worked with some of the largest public agencies in California and has advised them on a number of highly visible projects. She plays an active role with her clients in project planning and implementation, which includes initial planning and precondemnation acquisition through trial and appeal. Ms. Duran-Brown's experience includes a variety of infrastructure improvements such as roadways, railroads, schools, and flood control projects. She works closely with clients on project oversight and coordination to ensure that necessary steps are taken to meet project construction schedules, thereby minimizing construction delays or the potential loss of project funding.
She also represents a broad-range of property and business owners in California, and has experience litigating issues related to the acquisition of personal property and intangible rights, business goodwill claims, relocation issues, severance damages, precondemnation damages, entitlement and challenges to a project's environmental approvals. She holds a B.A, magna cum laude, from Seattle University, and a J.D. from the University of Southern California.
