Leadership California Institute Inaugural Report

Nossaman Associate Amber Maltbie was interviewed in Leadership California Institute's inaugural report, "Women: 2014 An Examination of the Status of Women in California State and Local Government," as a gender and politics expert.

According to LCI, women remain underrepresented in California government with very little data on women's level of political participation up until now. This report provides a comprehensive snap shot of the status of women at all levels of government with a specific focus on those women serving at the local level. The report draws on data maintained by GrassrootsLab, LLC, a California based consulting firm specializing in local government, advocacy, data and technology as well as anecdotal information from public officials and political leaders.

Ms. Maltbie was recognized in the acknowledgements section of the report for her research contributions, and as a political leader and General Counsel to Fem Dems of Sacramento, an organization that promotes the feminist principles of equality, diversity and inclusiveness.
