Lori Anne Dolqueist Quoted on Water Win in California Supreme Court
Lori Anne Dolqueist was quoted in the Daily Journal story “California Supreme Court reverses utilities commission ruling on water charges”(subscription needed). The article provides an overview of a win Lori achieved for our clients—the California Water Association, California-American Water and California Water Service—when the California Supreme Court “unanimously overturned a 2020 ruling by the Public Utilities Commission prohibiting water utilities from de-coupling their revenue from the amount of water they sell.”
Discussing the matter, Lori said, “The decision is important…for any party interested in appearing before the Public Utilities Commission.” She added, "It clarifies that the commission must be very clear when it identifies the scope of issues to be considered in a proceeding. It must provide notice by making that very clear.”
