MDOT Purple Line Light Rail Project and FDOT Port Miami Tunnel Project Win Awards From P3 Bulletin

Nossaman would like to congratulate the Maryland Department of Transportation (MDOT)  and the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) for the recognition each organization received at P3 Bulletin’s annual P3 Awards ceremony, which was held in Las Vegas, Nevada on October 27th, 2016.  Both MDOT and FDOT were bestowed gold awards that noted the excellence of their respective projects.  MDOT won in the Best Transit and Aviation Project category for its Purple Line Light Rail Project, a $2 billion project which will ease travel between  Washington D.C, and its surrounding suburbs. FDOT won in the Best  Operational Project category for the Port Miami Tunnel Project, a $1 billion project that included construction of twin 42-foot tunnels under Biscayne Bay, linking Port facilities on Dodge Island with MacArthur Causeway and I-395.  Nossaman teams, led by Infrastructure Partners Nancy Smith and Simon Santiago for MDOT, and Infrastructure Chair Patrick Harder for FDOT, provided legal counsel on these award winning projects.
