Nossaman Clears Client of Fraud Charges Brought by the SEC

After a three-week trial, a team of Nossaman attorneys led by Patrick Richard successfully obtained a defense verdict for our client, a former controller, on fraud claims brought by the United States Securities and Exchange Commission.  The attorney team included Brendan Macaulay and James Vorhis.

The Daily Journal included mention of this victory on the front page of their September 27, 2010 edition noting that, "The Securities and Exchange Commission failed to convince a jury that the former controller of Embarcadero Technologies Inc., a San Francisco software company, committed fraud when he backdated stock options at the company earlier this decade."
