Overview
Whitney Alston represents clients on litigation and transactional matters including government contracts, bid protests and disputes before the Court of Federal Claims, administrative bodies such as the Government Accountability Office (GAO) and other federal and state agencies. She advises clients on Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) contractor business systems in response to Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA)/Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) inquiries. Her experience includes Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and DFARS compliance, suspension and debarment, claims and terminations, labor and employment, False Claims Act, cost accounting, cybersecurity, Buy American Act, grants and mergers and acquisitions (M&A).
Additionally, Whitney advocates for clients in agency present responsibility determinations for suspension and debarment matters. Her responsibilities include analyzing Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests to prepare responses to prevent disclosure of client trade secrets and financial information, drafting pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, preparing and attending depositions in Contract Disputes Act, False Claims Act and breach of contract cases. Whitney also manages internal investigations tasks in anticipation of and response to government investigations.
