TRB's 59th Annual Workshop on Transportation Law
On September 15-16, 2020, Nancy Smith, Ed Kussy and Bill Powers spoke during the Transportation Research Board's (TRB) 59th Annual Workshop on Transportation Law.
On September 15th, Nancy spoke on "Pandemic Preparedness and Response." This session provided an overview of impacts from state and federal Executive Orders on transit, departments of transportation, reduction in funding and revenues, as well as impacts to freight and goods movement.
On September 16th, Ed and Bill presented "The Integrity of the Profession: Discrimination, Harassment, and Attorney Misconduct" and discussed select American Bar Association's Model rules and significant state disciplinary cases.
Convened by TRB's Legal Resources Group, the virtual 59th Annual Workshop on Transportation Law provided opportunities to meet and hear from federal, state and local government transportation attorneys and private transportation practitioners from around the country. In-depth sessions on significant legal issues in transportation were presented by leading subject matter practitioners, including senior attorneys from the Federal Highway Administration, Federal Transit Agency and Federal Railroad Administration.
