Nossaman Elevates Four to Partner in Austin, Los Angeles, and San Francisco

Los Angeles (February 8, 2017) – Nossaman LLP is pleased to announce that Mari R.L. Davidson, Amber Maltbie, Jennifer Meeker, and Brooke Wahlberg have been elevated to Partnership in the Firm.

We are excited to have this group join the Firm’s partnership, said George Joseph, Nossaman’s Managing Partner.  They embody our strengths across a number of key practice areas, and are outstanding representatives of Nossaman’s core culture. Furthermore, they are deeply committed to providing best in class service to their clients and to fostering a collegial, supportive environment across the Firm – attributes that we highly value in our partners. We congratulate them on this achievement and look forward to supporting their ongoing success.

The attorneys elevated to partnership (grouped by their office location) are:

Austin:

Brooke Wahlberg is a member of the Environment and Land Use Practice Group and focuses her practice on various areas of natural resources law, including the Endangered Species Act (ESA), the Migratory Bird Treaty Act (MBTA), the Bald and Golden Eagle Protection Act (BGEPA), the Clean Water Act (CWA) and the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA).  She regularly counsels developer, investor, and trade association clients on policy-level and project-specific issues arising under these statutes.  Ms. Wahlberg received her J.D. from George Washington University Law School.

Los Angeles:

Amber Maltbie is a member of the Public Policy Practice Group and a campaign finance and election law attorney, providing strategic counsel to individuals, agencies and organizations engaged in political activity.  She has advised clients at the federal, state, and local levels across all 50 states, with an expertise in California law.  In addition to her legal practice, Ms. Maltbie serves as an elected director on the Downtown Los Angeles Neighborhood Council, and continues to teach Election Law as an adjunct professor at McGeorge School of Law in Sacramento.  Ms. Maltbie has also served as Chair of Emerge California’s Board of Directors since July, 2016.  Ms. Maltbie received her J.D., with distinction, from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law.

Jennifer L. Meeker is a member of the Litigation Practice Group. Ms. Meeker partners with her clients in resolving a broad range of disputes, with a particular emphasis on litigation involving real estate, construction claims, and recovery of insurance proceeds.  Ms. Meeker also represents clients in liability actions relating to trusts and estates and in the financial services industry.  Ms. Meeker received her B.A., magna cum laude, from University of California, San Diego, and her J.D., cum laude, from the University of San Diego School of Law.  She is dedicated to her community and serves as an advisory board member of International Trade Education Programs, a Long Beach/Los Angeles port-based non-profit that focuses on career education and opportunities for high school students.

San Francisco: 

Mari L. Davidson is a member of the Water Practice Group, where she represents clients in regulatory proceedings before a number of state and federal agencies, including the California Public Utilities Commission, the State Water Resources Control Board and the federal Surface Transportation Board.  Her work involves rate-setting and rulemaking proceedings, as well as complaint cases, relevant to the water, transportation and energy industries.  Ms. Davidson also advises her clients, which include investor-owned utilities, public agencies and private enterprises, on corporate issues and transactional matters.  Ms. Davidson received her J.D. from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law.
