David Graeler, Chair of Nossaman's Litigation Department and Co-Chair of the Real Estate Group, and Steve Kaufmann, a Partner in the Environment & Land Use Group, were recognized by the Los Angeles Business Journal (LABJ) in its “Top Litigators" supplement for 2019.  The supplement highlighted 75 of the county’s best lawyers that are “masters of their craft [and] can prepare individuals and businesses for any legal issue that should come up.”  For David, this was the second year in a row he was honored.

The LABJ highlighted David’s 20 years of “litigation and trial experience representing both plaintiffs and defendants” and wrote that he “excels at partnering with clients to identify [clients’] goals and to develop and execute winning strategies to effectively resolve complex business disputes.”  The LABJ also noted that he “focuses his practice on the representation of public and private sector clients principally in the area of real estate, eminent domain, construction, and commercial disputes” and that he currently serves on the Judicial Appointments Commission for the Los Angeles County Bar Association.

For Steve, the LABJ lauded him as “one of the foremost Coastal Commission lawyers in California” who has worked for “over four decades representing the California Coastal Commission and landowners, developers, public entities, and public utilities with matters before that agency.”  The publication goes on to note his “track record for producing successful results for clients on a host of projects involving complex energy or transportation issues; wetlands, environmentally sensitive habitat, and other habitat-related issues; golf courses, marinas, traditional hotels, timeshares, and condominium hotels; residences, subdivisions, and commercial uses; and public agency projects.”
