Paul Weiland was quoted in the Daily Journal article “Supreme Court Rulings Likely To Lead To More Challenges To Agency Power(subscription required). The article examines how in the wake of a number of SCOTUS rulings—including the recent repeal of Chevron deference—legal observers expect a “flurry of challenges” from corporations to see what federal agency rules can be overturned across a host of regulated industries.

Discussing the matter, Paul said the Supreme Court Justices “are smart enough to know that these decisions are moving in the direction of shrinking the regulatory reach of the agencies,” noting they are “advancing a deregulatory agenda.”
