He also told Law360 that the legal industry's recent shift to remote working amid the pandemic allowed the move to happen.

“Over the years, I'd see job postings in Nossaman's eminent domain practice and would think, ‘If I lived back in California, I would totally apply for that,’” Steve said. “With most firms going remotely, I wondered if there might be a way to make the move work. Nossaman is an incredibly innovative firm, and so they were willing to work out the logistics and figure out how to put it together."
