Overview

As a litigator, Amanda Botelho defends employers in a broad range of labor and employment disputes, including claims of discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, retaliation and breach of contract. She has represented clients in single-plaintiff cases, wage and hour class actions and Private Attorneys General Act (PAGA) matters. Amanda also advises employers on litigation-prevention strategies, guiding them through complex wage and hour laws, employee classifications, and workplace policies. Beyond the courtroom, she drafts employment documents and policies that promote compliance and help mitigate risk.

Separately, Amanda has experience in financial services litigation, representing firms, registered representatives and registered investment advisers in court as well as in Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) and American Arbitration Association (AAA) arbitration proceedings. She has defended clients against claims involving fraud, suitability, breach of fiduciary duty, breach of contract and violations of state and federal securities laws.
