Overview

Every drop of water is precious.  We have long-standing expertise related to the protection, expansion and diversification of water supply, production of recycled water, and wastewater treatment.

We recognize that the long-term supply of surface water, groundwater, and recycled water is critical, as climate change and other factors create scarcity.  Being a leader in California’s water industry for more than 70 years, we recognize that the long-term supply of surface water, groundwater, and recycled water is critical as climate changes and resources become scarce throughout the State.

Communities are continuing to evolve their thinking on water.  The acceptance of "new" water sources is opening new avenues to meet demand.  Today's high-quality, sustainable, and environmentally progressive water supply includes recycled water alongside surface and storm water.

Our team understands state and federal law and regulations that impact water from every possible perspective.  We advise clients regarding treatment and delivery of recycled water for municipal, commercial, and industrial uses.  We work with investor-owned utilities, mutual water companies, government agencies, and private companies.

Our work includes advising clients in the production of recycled water and the collection and treatment of wastewater pursuant to CCR Titles 17 and 22.  We are helping to plan, environmentally review, and permit advanced purification facilities with both direct and indirect potable reuse options.  We are taking an active role in helping clients shaping the future of their water resources, including  highly-treated municipal and industrial wastewater.

Members of our Water and Environmental Groups actively participate in, and frequently serve on, expert panels for industry and professional organizations dedicated to advancing good public policy in the water arena.  We are involved with numerous groups, including:

  • American Groundwater Trust
  • American Water Works Association
  • Association of California Water Agencies
  • Association of Ground Water Agencies
  • California Association of Storm Water Quality Agencies
  • California Water Association
  • Groundwater Resources Association
  • Urban Water Institute
  • Water Education Foundation
